This solution can help if your project has a date field that must be filled out with the current date whenever its Job or Task is created.
Limitations: Can only be used with Data Mapping, so it's only a solution for new Jobs/Tasks created via automation.
To set this up, you must already have an automation action that creates the Job or Task that holds the target field.
Then under the Field Mapping section of the action, find your Date Field and set it to Preset Values.
Then choose Offset Date, and apply the Offset to Event Trigger Date.
Then choose either Add or Less for Offset Action, it doesn't matter which, and 0 days.
