Statuses can be configured to only be displayed when there is another linked status. Whenever statuses are linked, a Transition is automatically created.

Always Available
Statuses can be set to allow any other status to transition into the selected status. Default statuses are automatically set to Always Available. The "Any" Transition is automatically created.
Click on a Status
Click on the Checkbox for 'Set to Always Available'
Click Save
From Statuses
Users can select which other statuses can transition to the current selected status.
Click on a Status
Click on the Dropdown for 'From Statuses'
Select any other Statuses
Click Save
To Statuses
Users can select which other statuses the current selected status can transition to.
Click on a Status
Click on the Dropdown for 'From Statuses'
Select any other Statuses
Click Save
