Document types are templates that can be customized for a project’s output. A project can create Job Types and Task Types. Task Types reside within Job Types.

Creating a Job Type

  1. Click on the Create Job Type button.

  2. Insert information into the Create New Job Type modal.

    1. Name: Title of Job Type

      1. All names must be unique

    2. Identifier Key: An alphabetical ID – between three to eight letters

      1. New Jobs and Tasks created will increase numerically following the Identifier Key

        1. Tasks will inherit the Key of its parent Job Type

        2. Ex: “ABC-1”, “ABC-2”, “ABC-3” ; “WORKFLOW-1”, “WORKFLOW-2”

  3. Click on the Save button to save the entry.

⚠️ Important


  • The Identifier Key cannot be changed for Tasks within a Job Type

  • Subsequent created Jobs or Tasks will increase after the last created Job or Task

Customizing a Job Type

A newly created Job Type will default to having no configurations. Users may customize a Job Type’s Page Layout, Task Types, or Statuses.

  1. Click on the icon or hyperlinked name of a created Job Type

    1. Alternatively, click on the row of a Job Type to open its quick details

      1. Click on See All Settings
