How to Update Fields for Multiple Documents

Selecting Documents

Some overflow actions require a user to select jobs/tasks from the table view. Users may select Documents from any tab via:

  1. Selecting all Documents (rows) shown within the current table

    1. This will be affected by page size and/or any filters applied

    2. The same button can be used to deselect all

  2. Manually selecting a Document

    1. The same button can be used to deselect

Update Field

This action allows users to modify fields. This can only be applied if the selection of Jobs are all of the same Job Type, or the selection of Tasks are all of the same Task Type. Only one field may be updated at a time through this action. Refer to Imports for updating multiple fields at once.

  1. Select a Field from the dropdown list of fields

  2. Clear Selection Toggle

    1. Remove any existing data in the field

  3. Value – Depending on Field Type, input or select the new value to replace the existing

    1. Long Text, Short Text - Append, prepend, or replace

    2. Date, Number – Input a new value

    3. Boolean – Select True or False

    4. Single Select – Select one of the variables

    5. Multi Select – Select one or more of the variables

    6. Contact Selector – Select a contact

  4. Click Apply
