How to create Statuses

Statuses of a Document Type describe the progress of the work on the document. There are 4 default statuses and two status types, in-progress or completion. The default statuses can be edited or deleted.


Default Statuses are created. All default statuses are also created with the "Any" transition. See How to create Status Transitions for more information.

  • New (Type: In Progress) [Can not be edited]

  • In Progress (Type: In Progress)

  • Complete (Type: Completed)

  • Canceled (Type: Completed)

  1. Click on the Add status button

  2. Fill out the Modal

    1. Input a Name

    2. Select a Status category

      1. This can NOT be changed after being saved

    3. Input a Description

    4. Set to Always Available

      1. Allow all other statuses to transition to the newly created status

      2. Will add a "Any" pill to From Statuses

    5. From statuses

      1. Select the statuses that can transition to this status

    6. To statuses

      1. Select the statuses that this status can transition to

  3. Click Save
