Users can import data into a Project to create or update Documents.

โš ๏ธ How imports affect automations and assignment emails

  • New Documents

    • Rows with a JobID/TaskID or External ID that do not match with an existing document in the tool will create new documents.

    • You can set data on creation of new documents, but:

      • This initial data set does not trigger automations (except for Document Creation events).

      • Assignment Emails will not be sent.

  • Existing Documents

    • Rows with a JobID/TaskID or External ID that do match will update that existing document.

    • When existing documents are updated:

      • Automations will trigger (if applicable).

      • Assignment Emails will be sent (if applicable).

  • This can be used strategically:

    • To avoid automations & assignment emails, set values at time of document creation.

    • To trigger automations & assignment emails, use an upsert (update existing documents) instead.

  1. Click on the Import button

      1. Dropdown list is limited

  3. Download Template
