Automation Events

In order for an automation to run, there must be something that happens, or an event must take place.

  1. Click on the Add Automation button

  2. Input a Name

    1. Names must be unique

  3. Input a Description

  4. What kind of event are you looking to set up?

    1. Status Update: Automation occurs when a status has been updated

    2. Value Update: Automation occurs when a value has been updated

    3. Assignee Update: Automation occurs when an Assignee has been updated

    4. Document Creation: Automation occurs when a Document is created

      1. Does NOT trigger when documents are created via Automation

  5. When?

    1. Job: The automation will begin when the event occurs within a Job

    2. Task: The automation will begin when the event occurs within a Task

  6. In

    1. Select the Job Type being affected

  7. In

    1. Select the Task Type being affected

    (This secondary β€œIn” field will only be displayed if the event occurs to a Task)

  8. Is

    1. Select the Field Type being affected

    (This field will only be displayed if the event is a Value Update)

  9. Click Create Event to create the Automation Event
